The OMEGA League: Europe begins really soon

August is usually the most interesting month of the year when it comes down to Dota 2. This is when we get to see the biggest event in eSports – The International.

However, due to COVID-19, Valve decided to postpone it, which is why there won’t be a TI this summer. Even though this is definitely a shock for many people, there are many amazing events that we can watch, including the OMEGA League.

The Omega League: Europe Immortal Division wll feature the best teams in the continent.  They will go against each other in an epic battle for a $500,000 prize pool. Needless to say, this is one of the biggest rewards for an online event in Dota 2.

We will see twelve teams in total, which will be divided into two groups. Ten of those teams received a direct invitation, whereas the last two ones will have earn their place via the qualifiers.

Every single series, up to the Grand Final, is going to be in a Best of Three format. Apart from the usual powerhouses from Europe, fans can also watch the best North American Dota 2 team – Evil Geniuses.

Although this event will also have an American bracket, EG decided to participate in the European one because the prize pool here is a a lot bigger. Needless to say, it will be really interesting to see what will happen.
