Daily fantasy sports operator PrizePicks has entered into a strategic partnership with Atlanta-based esports organization Ghost Gaming. The partnership will aim to “establish a dominant hub of fantasy sports and esports in the southeast.” PrizePicks previously signed similar deals with the Atlanta Braves and Miami Marlins MLB franchises this summer.
Ghost Gaming was acquired by an Atlanta-based investor group last month that saw the organization relocate its headquarters to Georgia. The investor group includes Todd Harris, former COO of SMITE developer Hi-Rez Studios and CEO of Skillshot Media. PrizePicks’ first foray into esports was a partnership with the SMITE Pro League, in which Ghost Gaming also fields a team.
