The European side on Twitter have announced that they have completed the transfer of Sumn FC’s Valorant roster.
With the launch of Valorant, Organizations have eagerly invested in this brand new FPS project where they aim to expand their dominance in their respective province.
With Sumn FC’s signing, Fnatic has confirmed their entry to Riot’s first-person tactical shooter. Led by Jake “Boaster” Howlett, Sumn FC ended their First Strike Campaign on a high note after going down to Team Heretics at the Grand Finale of the same. Along with their Runner-up badge, they had previously set their rhythm at the LAVA series where they claimed their championship title at its Sixth edition. This was followed by yet another second-place finish at the Valorant Contenders cup after they were throttled by FunPlus Phoenix Esports in the finals. The European mixture underwent a roster change in September’20 where they parted ways with Denis “dinkjz” Tkachev. A month later, this void was filled by Kostas “tsack” Theodoropoulos, right before they went on to transition to mayhem at the First Strike.
Chief Gaming Officer and ex-Counter Strike pro Patrik “cArn” Sättermon in a statement said,
“We’re so excited to finally join VALORANT. It’s been the number one thing fans have been asking for since the game launched, and we’ve taken our time to identify a roster that fits our vision of competing for the top titles in every game we enter. With our record of success in FPS games such as Counter-Strike, we’re looking forward to writing this new chapter in Fnatic’s history, and building our legacy in a new title.”
Fnatic Valorant will make their debut at the VALORANT Champions Tour Challengers, which starts on Thursday, 4th February 2021.
The roster is as follows:
